Can there be intimacy without sex?

Of course, in theory, but what are you using as an example of intimacy?

Simple pleasures...sitting on the couch "together" watching a movie, maybe head on shoulder, maybe just falling asleep... strolling through a store, hand in hand... arm-in-arm walking into a room... not fearful of an arm around the waist... being able to touch and be touched without sexual context.

Possible?

Probably?

Intimacy without sex.

I have not explained it well.

After careful consideration, these things are just not possible.

It is possible, in a hypothetical world. Not in ours.

Bullshit
Quit being so dammed shallow. Intimacy does not even require touch. Get your mind out of the sewer. It's not all about sex. If you think you can't be intimate without sex, try living a life of celibacy. Not something by choice. Let's say tomorrow the plumbing just gave out and quit working. Yeah Erectile Dysfunction. Instant impotence. What then? Don't you think for one moment that you can't be intimate with a person and not be sexually involved. I have had ED and have been impotent for several years now and I recently got married. Walk a mile in my shoes.

I'm not implying it's impossible for everyone, just for our circumstances.

Thanks "I". Couldn't have said it better myself. And that was exactly my point.
