What's in a name?

If you had a name that was part of your heritage, but offensive to others, would you consider changing it? Naw, I wouldn't either. And I'm glad to read these people didn't either, even though a Catholic School refused to admit their 5 year old son because the family's last name is Hell and only reluctantly agreed when the family went public.

In the Scandinavian language, Hell means "Luck".
But it is amazing how some words always means something rude in another language. (Never anything nice.) At a time when I worked as a music-teacher and wanted the children to bring songes from their country, it was always some other that could not sing that'n that song, because some words in the song had a nasty, rude, impolite meaning in another language.

The article did say he was of Norwegian descent. So, probably about the same.
